Tremble and raise your softening eyes,
Calf-eyes, doe-eyes, those bedroom eyes,
And wonder why our sight is heaven’s choice;
Why do the stars let us to see them turn
Round like lubricious dancers in their leotards of flame?
From whence are you? and do, in fact, you know the name
That one bird calls another in the nest?
Do icicles enjoy the rain?
